| History of Hoff Jewelers, Inc.
Hoff Jewelers is a family-owned retail business established in 1938 by Frank Hoff in the Como Park neighborhood of St. Paul, Minnesota. The Company operated as a sole proprietorship until its sale to the founder's son, Steve Hoff, in 1979; at which time the company was incorporated as a Minnesota corporation. In 1979 the Company had two stores located in suburbs of the Twin Cities.
Under Steve Hoff, starting in 1983, Hoff Jewelers began a diversification strategy by establishing a retail store in a regional shopping mall in the Twin Cities area. The Company continued on a path of diversification and began to manufacture, design and assemble much of its own inventory and import its Raw gemstones directly from foreign dealers.
The Company subsequently opened additional regional mall retail stores and currently operates five locations in the Twin Cities area, all under the trade name of "Hoff Jewelers and Diamond Importers".
By opening an online store, Hoff Jewelers is entering the new century prepared to meet and service the needs of its customers in the digital age. Online customers can take advantage of special savings and the convenience of shopping from their home or work. Online customers will still receive the great service they would if they had visited one of our retail stores.
